3 Reasons Why the Pinpointe Laser Toenail Fungus Treatment Works

pinpointe laser toenail fungus treatmentThe Pinpointe Laser toenail fungus treatment (normally spelled Pinpointe) plan has become quite popular over the last few months and there are several reasons why it works and customers love it.

The first thing to know is that toenail and nail fungus is an annoying, embarrassing problem to have because it can impact you both emotionally and physically.  It may start as not a big deal but can eventually impact your clothing, where you go, and even your love life.

Even though it can be quite difficult to get rid of at times, the new Pinpointe Laser toe nail fungus treatments have proven to be effective.  Here are three quick reasons why the laser works to kill nail fungus.

1.  Ease of Use:  One of the main reasons why some people deal with toenail fungus for many years is the hassle of soaking your feet or applying some type of ointment for long periods of time.  Most of us are super busy and crunched for time so even something that is relatively simple is often avoided.  The Pinpointe Laser treatment normally takes one office visit.

2.  Painless:  Along the same lines of ease of use is the fact that laser therapy is virtually painless.  It does not require a stay in the hospital or a bunch of dangerous prescriptions to be effective.  The doctor uses a specific path of exposure to make sure the entire surface is covered and that the fungus is killed.

3.  Works Under the Nail:  Many of the treatments for nail fungus are not effective because they don’t kill the fungus where it lives and normally that’s in the nail bed.  The laser is able to penetrate the nail and kill living fungus inside the nail bed.  This is done without any long term damage to the nail or your skin.

Pinpointe Laser treatment is a great new way to stop toenail or nail fungus but it’s not cheap.  Current costs range from about $1000.00 to $1200.00 dollars.  If you are unable to afford laser at the moment, here are some other toenail fungus treatments that have been quite successful.

Has any medical organization adapted the laser treatment to fingernails?

  • Brian Larson:

Is there any doctor or clinic in the Minneapolis, Minnesota metro area that does this?
    Thanks!

There has not been a lot of media attention about fingernails since toenail fungus is more
common but it is basically the same process so I would check with a local podiatrist that offers laser
    and ask them.

  • Terrence Walmsley:

When will this treatment be available in australia mate.

  • admin:

Shipping to Australia is available. Not sure if you got email about this.

  • I had it done about a year ago. The most you feel is some heat. Yeah its on the pricey side. I paid about 1200 for it but the podiatrist I went to said that if I needed re treatment because one of the nails dint take that it would be at no charge. I would just need to process some paperwork stating I followed the curse of treatment he prescribed. I was given a free consultation. I don’t know if any others do that. I am happy to say that till day, it hasn’t come back. Took about 4 months before all my nails grew out and now they are all painted and pretty. Its Dr Sergi by the way. Love that man!!

  • I am a cosmetologist. can I purchase this laser? What is the cost? What training do you need?

You would need to contact Pinpointe laser directly for that kind of info. There is some kind of certification program but not sure if it is limited to podiatrists and similar foot specialists.

  • Veronica:

For the nail (hand) can you do the pinpoint laser treatment?
    Thank you.

It can be used for fungus on toenails and fingernails. Check with your local podiatrist to see if they offer the treatment.

  • Ron:

I had two lazer treatments from Dr. Tracey Toback in Kingston,New York at a cost of $1,200.00 for the two treatments. IT DOSENT WORK!!!!!!!!!! I still have the toenail fungus.

  • Denise B.:

To the gentleman who said his treatments didn’t work: the consent form I signed before undergoing the laser treatment today stated quite clearly that there was no guarantee it would cure my toenail fungus. My podiatrist has ~75% success rate, which means one person in four will not respond to treatment. You pays your money and you takes your chances!

  • [...] Laser toenail fungus treatments are fairly new but they have been receiving some pretty good reviews thus far.  The session is said to take about 45 minutes, but maybe less if you are only doing a few toes or one foot. [...]
